The Phoenix Suns have added another key piece to their roster, agreeing to a deal with guard Eric Gordon, The Athletic's Shams Charania reported on Sunday.
Charania says Gordon had multiple offers, but decided to join a Suns team seen as a serious contender.
The Houston Rockets traded Gordon to the Los Angeles Clippers midway through last season. In 22 games in his second stint with the Clippers, Gordon averaged 11 points on 46.3 per cent shooting from the field.
In 818 career games with the New Orleans Pelicans, Rockets and Clippers, Gordon, 34, has averaged 16 points per game.
The Clippers originally selected Gordon seventh overall in the 2008 NBA Draft.
Gordon won the NBA's Sixth Man Award in 2017 as a Rocket, the same year he won the three-point competition at the All-Star Game.
