Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton underwent surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left wrist in early July, sources tell ESPN's Tim Bontemps and Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Bucks All-Star is expected to fully recover and to return sometime near the start of the regular season to Milwaukee, as Middleton last suited up for the Bucks in April during the first round of the NBA Playoffs.

A different injury however kept Middleton off the court as he suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain against the Chicago Bulls in Game which ended his efforts to help Milwaukee defend their 2021 NBA title.

The 30-year-old averaged 20.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.4 assists during the season and even had 18 points against the Bulls in Game 2 before his exit.
