The Chicago Bulls have signed undrafted University of Connecticut forward Adama Sanogo to a two-way contract, according to multiple reports.
Sanogo led U Conn to a national championship at the 2023 March Madness tournament and was named Final Four Most Outstanding Player. The 21-year-old native of Mali averaged 17.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists for the Huskies in 2022-23.
In other Bulls news, vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas expressed doubts about Lonzo Ball's status for next season. The Lithuanian said “our expectation is that he's not going to be back next season" during the Bull's post draft press conference.
Ball underwent another knee surgery in March, his third in about 14 months. The guard is not expected to play in 2023-24.
Karnisovas added that he felt confident that the Bulls could enter the luxury tax this summer should the team need to do so.
