The Phoenix Suns might be down a couple of stars on Thursday as both Devin Booker and Bradley Beal have been listed as doubtful on the team's injury report ahead of their tilt against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Booker is dealing with left foot soreness. Ahead of their opening night game against the Golden State Warriors, the star guard was listed as questionable as he nursed toe soreness. It hasn't been clarified as to whether these injuries are related.
The three-time All-Star was incredibly effective against the Warriors on Tuesday, scoring a game-high 32 points while dishing out eight assists.
Beal meanwhile missed the opening game with lower back tightness and is in line to miss another, postponing his debut with his new team after the blockbuster deal that landed him in Phoenix.
The Athletic's Shams Charania reported that the Suns were opting for a cautious approach with Beal but added that there was optimism that Beal was getting closer to a return.
With the two guards listed as doubtful, Grayson Allen, who started in place of Beal on Tuesday, and Eric Gordon, who went 4-for-16 from the field, might be in line to lead the backcourt for the Suns.
The game against the Lakers tips off at 10:00 p.m. ET / 7:00 p.m. PT. You can watch the game on Sportsnet 360 or Sportsnet+
