The Phoenix Suns released a statement Sunday saying forward Cameron Johnson will have surgery on a torn meniscus in his right knee.
Johnson will be out until further notice, the team added. He sustained the knee injury during the first quarter of Friday's 108-106 loss to the Portland Trailblazers.
The 26-year-old is coming off of a career season with averages of 12.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists in 26.2 minutes played during the 2021-22 campaign.
He is averaging 13 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 11 games this year.
Johnson was drafted 11th overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2019 and immediately traded to the Suns.
