Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul has officially been listed as out for Game 6 against the Denver Nuggets, the team reported on Wednesday. Centre Deandre Ayton has also been listed as questionable.
Paul suffered a groin injury in Game 2 of the series, forcing him out of the lineup for Games 3 through 5. He's set to miss his fourth game in a row. Though the Nuggets lead the series 3-2, the Suns have gone 2-1 in the Western Conference semifinal without their guard.
He has averaged 12.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 7.4 assists in the playoffs so far.
Ayton, meanwhile, suffered a rib injury in the first quarter of Game 5 after a collision with Nuggets wing Bruce Brown. The big man remained in the game, playing 31 minutes in the blowout loss.
The former first-overall pick has averaged 13.4 points and 9.7 rebounds in the playoffs as a whole and 10.0 points and 8.5 rebounds in their series against the Nuggets.
The Suns are on the brink of elimination, down 3-2 in the series. Game 6 will take place on Thursday at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT on Sportsnet ONE and SN NOW.
