Phoenix Suns superstar guard Devin Booker has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder as he recovers from an ankle injury, the team announced.
Booker suffered the injury in Saturday night's loss to the Houston Rockets. He collided with teammate Royce O'Neale, turning his ankle and then heading to the team's locker room before being ruled out for the remainder of the night.
The 27-year-old has been key for the Suns this season, averaging 27.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 6.8 assists in 50 games. He was named an all-star for the fourth time in his career.
The Suns are jockeying for position in a tight Western Conference, sitting in sixth with a 35-25 record and only half a game up on the Sacramento Kings and a drop to the play-in tournament.
They've got a big test ahead of them as they take on the second-place Oklahoma on Sunday. You can watch the two squads go head-to-head on Sportsnet ONE or Sportsnet+ at 9:30 p.m. ET / 6:30 p.m. PT.
