• Thunder lose big man Chet Holmgren vs. Hawks with ankle sprain

Oklahoma City Thunder big man Chet Holmgren is hurt again.

The former second overall pick was ruled out of Friday night's game against the Atlanta Hawks with a left ankle sprain.

The 22-year-old missed nearly three months earlier this season with a pelvic fracture. He played all 82 games last season, but sat out the entire 2022-23 season due to a foot injury after entering the league in the 2022 NBA draft.

In 16 games this season, Holmgren is averaging 15.8 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.9 blocks in 26.8 minutes per game.

The Thunder lead the Western Conference by nine games at 47-11. Their next game comes Sunday against the San Antonio Spurs.
