The NBA issued a $75,000 fine on Monday to Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards for criticizing officials and using inappropriate and profane language.
Edwards' comments followed Minnesota's 113-103 loss at home to the Golden State Warriors on Saturday.
“I get penalized for being stronger than my opponent,” Edwards said. “So they give them the benefit of the doubt. They bump me the same way they bump everybody else, and I never get the call. I don’t know what’s got to go down, but something’s got to happen because that is terrible.”
It's not the first time Edwards has been fined this season, or even this month.
He was handed a $25,000 fine on Dec. 9 for using profane language during a media interview and received a $35,000 on Nov. 17 for making an obscene gesture on the court.
Minnesota is 10th in the Western Conference with a 14-13 record.
Edwards leads the team in scoring with an average of 25.9 points per game.
