The Golden State Warriors are giving some veteran players, including Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, the night off on Saturday against the Toronto Raptors.
The team will also sit Andrew Wiggins, Andre Iguodala, Otto Porter Jr., who are all dealing with injuries, along with Jordan Poole, who is in the league’s COVID-19 protocols.
Golden State is coming off a 111-107 victory over the Boston Celtics on Friday night. Saturday’s game marks the Warriors’ first visit to Toronto since the Raptors beat Golden State in the 2019 NBA Finals.
The absence of Curry will be a disappointment for many Toronto fans after the Warriors star broke the record for career three-pointers earlier this week.
The game will be the first NBA contest in Toronto to be played at half capacity after Ontario unveiled new rules this week to combat the current COVID-19 surge.
