Canadian Andrew Wiggins will not play for the Golden State Warriors against the visiting Toronto Raptors on Friday because of a non-COVID illness, the team announced.
The Vaughan, Ont. native has had a successful tenure with the Warriors over the last three years, including winning his first NBA championship last season along with being named to the NBA All-Star Game.
Wiggins is averaging 17.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists in this year’s campaign for the reigning champions.
