The Boston Celtics have signed their 30th overall selection from the 2024 NBA draft, Baylor Scheierman, the team announced on Saturday. Terms of the contract were not disclosed, per team policy.
During the 2023-2024 campaign, Scheierman helped his NCAA Creighton Bluejays earn a berth into the Sweet 16 round of the March Madness tournament. They ultimately fell to the second ranked Tennessee Volunteers, however the versatile shot-creator led the way by recording a team-high 25 points in the loss.
The six-foot-six, guard/forward, split his five-year collegiate career between two schools, beginning in 2019 with South Dakota State and later joining Creighton via transfer in 2022.
