John Wall will look to revive his career by joining the Los Angeles Clippers.
Wall’s agency Klutch Sports announced the free-agent guard had signed a two-year, $13.5 million contract with the Clippers. Wall was a free agent after negotiating a buyout with the Houston Rockets earlier this week. He will receive around $41 million from the Rockets after the buyout.
Wall played in 40 games with Houston in the 2020-21 season, averaging 20.6 points and 6.9 assists. However, he didn’t play any games last season as the Rockets attempted to trade him and turn the franchise over to younger players.
The 32-year-old is a five-time all-star but since his last all-star season in 2018, his career has been derailed by injuries. That includes surgery to both his knees, bone spurs in his heel and a tear of his left Achilles tendon.
