Lakers’ Bronny James has more fouls than points in Summer League loss

Bronny James was held to just two points in his third Summer League appearance for the Los Angeles Lakers, an 88-74 loss to the Boston Celtics.

James shot 1-5 from the field and missed three three-point attempts. He had three fouls, two turnovers and one assist in just under 25 minutes of playing time.

James, the son of Lakers star LeBron James, was drafted by L.A. with the 55th pick in last month’s NBA Draft.

Dalton Knecht, the Lakers’ first-round pick last month, led L.A. with 19 points. Maxwell Lewis, a second-round pick in 2023, was the only other Laker to score in double digits with 13 points.

Centre Neemias Queta led the Celtics in scoring with 22 points. Other double-digit scorers included Jahmi’us Ramsey (13) and Drew Peterson (12).
