Report: 76ers trading Al Horford, picks to Thunder for Danny Green

The Philadelphia 76ers are trading forward Al Horford as well as a first- and second-round pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder for guard Danny Green, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Along with Horford and the picks (reportedly a lightly-protected 2025 first-rounder and the 34th overall pick in Wednesday’s draft), the Sixers are also sending the rights to 26-year-old Serbian point guard Vasilije Micic, who is considered one of Europe’s top point guards.

On the other end of things, the Thunder are reportedly sending Terrance Ferguson to the Sixers with Green.

In a deal that’s positive for both sides, Oklahoma City receives further draft compensation as it looks to enter a full rebuild as well as a solid veteran piece. Philadelphia acquires a lethal shooter in Green and a young asset in Ferguson while no longer having Horford’s substantial contract (three years, $81 million remaining on a four-year deal) on the books.

The Thunder will now have three picks in Wednesday’s draft: Nos. 25, 28 and 34.
