Report: Nerlens Noel agrees to one-year, $3.1M deal with Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings have signed centre Nerlens Noel to a one-year, $3.1 million contract, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

Earlier this year, he signed a 10-day contract with the Brooklyn Nets and concluded the season as a free agent. The 29-year-old has played 467 regular season games throughout his career.

He split the last season between the Detroit Pistons and Nets where he totalled 17 games and averaged 2.1 points and 2.7 rebounds. His recent best season was 2020-21 where he averaged 5.1 points and 6.4 rebounds in 64 games.

Noel was selected as the sixth overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft by New Orleans Pelicans but was later traded to the Philadelphia 76ers. He has also formerly played for the Dallas Mavericks, Oklahoma City Thunder, and New York Knicks.
