Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant has entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols.
Durant is now the eighth player on the team to enter into protocols. He recorded 34 points and 11 rebounds in Thursday’s win over the Philadelphia 76ers.
Brooklyn is 21-8 so far this season with Durant having his best season to date averaging 29.7 points per game and 7.9 rebounds. The team is also without James Harden who is in protocol and Kyrie Irving.
The Nets are in the process of bringing back Irving as a part-time player for games outside of New York. To this point, the All-Star guard has been unwilling to satisfy the city’s vaccination mandates and become eligible to play home games.
Durant should be able to return within the next 10 days since he is vaccinated and only has to test negative twice in a 24-hour span.
