Report: Pistons sign F Tobias Harris to two-year, $52 million contract

The Pistons are making some moves in free agency as they try to climb up the Eastern Conference.

Detroit has agreed to terms with forward Tobias Harris on a two-year, $52-million contract, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Monday.

Harris is coming off a max five-year, $180-million contract with the Philadelphia 76ers. He averaged 17.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists while hitting 48.7 per cent of his shots from the field and 35.3 per cent of his three-pointers.

The 31-year-old will make his return to Motown, where he spent the better part of three seasons from 2016 to 2018. He was traded to the Pistons from the Magic and then dealt to the Clippers two seasons later for Blake Griffin.

Over the course of his 13-year NBA career, he has played for five different teams.
