Report: Reggie Jackson staying in Denver, exercises player option for 2024-25

Reggie Jackson is returning to the Denver Nuggets next season.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Jackson, 34, will pick up his player option valued at $5.25 million.

The 13-year veteran averaged 10.2 points, 3.8 assists on 43.1 per cent shooting and 35.9 per cent from deep last season while appearing in all 82 games.

Jackson played an important depth role during the Nuggets’ run to the 2023 championship and his minutes increased at times last season while Jamal Murray battled injuries.

Jackson was originally drafted 24th overall in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder. He was dealt to Detroit during the 2014-15 season and registered career highs in minutes, points, rebounds, and assists during his tenure as a Piston.
