Oklahoma City is retaining some core pieces for the long haul.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are signing forward Aaron Wiggins to a five-year, $47 million contract, and wing Isaiah Joe to a four-year, $48 million contract, The Athletic‘s Shams Charania reported on Monday.

The Thunder had previously declined Wiggins’ $2-million team option at the option deadline on Saturday with the intention of signing the third-year forward to a long-term deal.

The 25-year-old will now earn an average of $9.4 million per season after finishing the 2023-24 season averaging 6.9 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists on 56.2 per cent shooting from the field and 49.2 per cent from three-point range.

Joe, 24, also had his $2.1-million team option declined on Saturday as the two sides worked towards a longer-term extension.

The sharpshooter averaged 8.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists while hitting 41.6 per cent of his three-pointers last season.
