Report: Warriors sign G Moses Moody to three-year, $39M extension

The Warriors are beginning to invest in life after Steph Curry.

Golden State has signed guard Moses Moody to a three-year, $39 million contract extension, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported on Sunday.

Moody is currently in the second year of a rookie-scale team option that will pay him $5.8 million in the 2024-25 season. He was set to become a restricted free agent after this season.

This deal will keep him in the Bay Area through the 2027-28 campaign.

Moody, 22, averaged a career-high 8.1 points, 3.0 rebounds, 0.9 assists and 1.0 steals+blocks in 66 games last season. He saw an increase in minutes and usage as well, logging 17.5 minutes per game.

The Little Rock, Ark., native was selected by the Warriors in the 2021 NBA Draft.
