Ryan Nembhard passed his way into the record book on Tuesday.
The Canadian point guard set the West Coast Conference single-season assist high during his 15-helper performance in Gonzaga's 95-76 win over Santa Clara on Tuesday.
Nembhard now has an NCAA season-high 295 assists, 11 more than Emmett Naar recorded for Saint Mary's in 2017-18.
“I’m not too much into the individual goals, but I love being here with my guys and doing it with them. There's no better feeling in the world," Nembhard told CBS Sports.
A fourth-year player from Aurora, Ont., Nembhard also added 12 points and five rebounds against Santa Clara as Gonzaga improved to 22-8.
Nembhard is the younger brother of Indiana Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard, who also played college ball for the Washington state powerhouse.
Gonzaga wraps up regular-season play Saturday at San Francisco.
