Canadian quarterback Kurtis Rourke has committed to Indiana University for his final year of NCAA eligibility, he announced on his personal social media accounts Thursday.
The six-foot-five Rourke has been at Ohio University since 2019 but decided to enter the transfer portal for his final season.
"I will carry my time at Ohio with me forever as Athens has given me so much," he said when he announced his decision to transfer.
He joins an Indiana team that had a 3-9 record in 2023 and finished last in the Big 10 with a 1-8 conference record.
The native of Oakville, Ont. was the Mid-American Conference player of the year with the Bobcats last season. He suffered a season-ending ACL injury late in the season.
While Rourke's numbers were down this season as he returned from a serious injury, the Bobcats still finished 9-3 and earned a berth in the Myrtle Beach Bowl against Georgia Southern on Dec. 16.
For his career, Rourke has thrown for 7,666 yards with 50 touchdowns and 16 interceptions.
Rourke is the younger brother of fellow quarterback Nathan Rourke, who also went to Ohio and is now on the practice roster of the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars.
