London, Ont., native and University of Illinois running back Chase Brown suffered an apparent ankle injury against Purdue on Saturday.
After appearing to roll his ankle, Brown was helped off the field by athletic trainers in visible pain. After the game, Fighting Illini coach Bret Bielema told reporters that there was no update on the injury.
The 21-year-old led all college football players through Nov. 5 with 1,344 rushing yards and is a frontrunner for the 2022 Heisman Trophy as the best player in college football.
