Week 18, the final week of regular season football in the NFL, will feature a myriad of backup quarterbacks getting the starting nod.
With most teams already aware of their standing in their respective divisions and conferences at this point in the season, it's common practice in the league for starters to rest and avoid injury.
What that does is create an opportunity for some seasoned players like Carson Wentz with the Los Angeles Rams and Sam Darnold with the San Fransico 49ers to get back onto the field and show what they still have in the tank.
It also results in a couple of lesser-known players getting their chance to step on the field and perform. For instance, Easton Stick with the Los Angeles Chargers and Jarrett Stidham with the Denver Broncos have each only started in three games in their NFL careers.
Out the 12 backups confirmed to be QB1 on Sunday, six have started in less than 20 games in the NFL.
Here's a full list of backup QBs set to start under centre in Week 18, and the number of starts they have made in their careers to date:
Carson Wentz (Rams) - 92 career starts
Tyrod Taylor (Giants) - 57
Sam Darnold (49ers) - 55
