The Chicago Bears are looking for a shakeup on offence but won't be benching quarterback Caleb Williams.
After losing 19-3 to the New England Patriots, head coach Matt Eberflus stood by his rookie quarterback despite him getting outdueled by Drake Maye.
Williams was under a lot of pressure after getting sacked nine times and passed for just 120 yards. The Bears (4-5) went 1 for 14 on third down and finished with just 142 yards in their third consecutive loss.
"There will be changes, adjustments being made. I'm not going to disclose those right now," Eberflus told reporters on Monday.
Chicago is now 4-5 and had won three in a row before its current slide. Williams completed 74 per cent of his passes for 687 yards and seven touchdowns with one interception during the win streak. The promising stretch culminated with Williams throwing for four TDs in a 35-16 victory over Jacksonville.
