The Chicago Bears are sending running back Khalil Herbert to the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Bears will receive a 2025 seventh-round selection from the Bengals.
The trade comes after running back Zack Moss was injured during practice, days before Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Head coach Zac Taylor reports that Moss is out indefinitely with a neck injury with no timeline for his return.
Herbert has taken a back seat role in Chicago, who signed D'Andre Swift this past off-season and drafted Roschon Johnson in 2023. Herbert only has eight carries for 16 yards and one touchdown.
