Denver Broncos linebacker Alex Singleton honoured Johnny Gaudreau ahead of Sunday's season opener against the Seattle Seahawks.
Singleton arrived at Lumen Field in Seattle wearing Gaudreau's Calgary Flames jersey.
Singleton played three seasons in Calgary with the CFL's Stampeders from 2016-18.
Johnny and his brother Matthew Gaudreau died on Aug. 29 when they were struck by a suspected drunk driver while riding bicycles on a rural road in Oldmans Township, N.J.
A memorial service for family and close friends of the Gaudreaus will take place Monday in Media, Pa., the family announced.
The Flames and Columbus Blue Jackets — Johnny's two NHL teams during his career — will live stream the memorial. Both teams have plans to attend Monday's services.
