Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians has tested positive for COVID-19, the team announced Tuesday.
Arians is presently isolating at home and says he has only experienced “mild symptoms to this point”.
Assistant head coach/run game coordinator Harold Goodwin will serve as interim coach in Arians’ absence.
The Buccaneers also have five players on the reserve/COVID-19 list: wide receiver Jaelon Darden, cornerback Jamel Dean, wide receiver Mike Evans, cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting and defensive lineman Rakeem Nunez-Roches.
Tampa Bay is coming off a 32-6 victory over the Carolina Panthers in Week 16, where they clinched the NFC South for the first time since 2007.
The Buccaneers will travel to New York to take on the Jets for their Week 17 matchup on Sunday afternoon.
