The Los Angeles Chargers could very well be without quarterback Justin Herbert for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The 26-year-old quarterback told reporters on Friday that he suffered a high-ankle sprain in the team's Week 2 win over the Carolina Panthers and his status for Week 3 is still to be determined.
Herbert described the pain he's dealing with as "not great."
"He's doing everything he can to play on Sunday," Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh added Friday.
The team officially listed Herbert as questionable.
If Herbert can't go, either Easton Stick or Taylor Heinicke will get the start in his place. But Harbaugh said that he's "not going to reveal what any of the contingencies are."
The Chargers have started the season 2-0 in their first season with Harbaugh as head coach. The Steelers also are 2-0.
