Travis Kelce is going Hollywood.
Adam Sandler announced on The Tonight Show that the Kansas City Chiefs star tight end will be joining the cast of the upcoming Happy Gilmore 2.
“He’s gonna come by. He’s a very nice guy. You guys would love him in real life," Sandler told Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday's episode. "What a big, handsome guy. Funny and cool as hell. He’s a stud, and he’s so funny.”
Sandler added that production on the film, a sequel to the 1996 golf comedy, will begin in a few weeks.
On top of that, Variety reported that Kelce is in talks to star in a new film that is being produced by Chad Stahelski, director of the John Wick series.
The film, called Loose Cannons, is described as an action comedy, but no other details have been revealed. Lionsgate and 87Eleven Entertainment are producing while Tim Dowling, whose credits include Role Models and Office Christmas Party, is signed on to write the film.
Kelce is entering his 12th NFL season and looking to help the Chiefs win a third-straight Super Bowl.
The 34-year-old has seen his fame hit new heights after beginning a relationship with pop superstar Taylor Swift last year.
On top of his film projects, Variety also reports that Kelce has a role in Ryan Murphy's new series Grotesquerie, which debuts next month on FX.
