The Jacksonville Jaguars have lost yet another starting wide receiver to injury.
Gabe Davis, who was signed this off-season to a three-year, $39 million contract, will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a torn meniscus in Sunday's blowout loss to Detroit, head coach Doug Pederson announced.
Davis' tenure as a Jag has not gotten off to a great start. In 10 games this season, he has only 20 catches for 239 yards and two touchdowns.
In his four years in Buffalo, the 2020 fourth-round pick out of UCF never had less than six touchdowns. His 12 yards-per-catch this season is well below the 16.7 he averaged as a Bill.
Jacksonville is already without star wideout Christian Kirk for the rest of the season after he suffered a broken collarbone in Week 8. First-round rookie Brian Thomas Jr. is now the lone receiver on the team with over 10 catches on the season.
The Jaguars (2-9) are on a bye in Week 12. They host the Texans on Dec. 1.
