The Diontae Johnson-Baltimore Ravens saga continues.
The Ravens released a statement Monday saying the team and Johnson have "mutually agreed" to excuse him from team activities this week.
The five-foot-10 wideout was suspended by the Ravens for Sunday's game against the New York Giants for conduct detrimental to the team. Baltimore general manager Eric DeCosta's statement on the suspension included that Johnson refused to enter their game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Dec. 1.
The Ravens acquired Johnson from the Carolina Panthers in a Week 9 trade, but the 28-year-old has played only 39 snaps over four games, with five targets and a single catch.
The Ruskin, Fla., native had 51 catches for 717 yards and five touchdowns last season with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Johnson is in the final season of his contract.
