One of the longest-serving head coaches in the NFL is set to stick around a bit longer.
The Baltimore Ravens have signed head coach John Harbaugh to a three-year contract extension, the team announced Friday.
The extension will keep Harbaugh in the AFC North through the 2028 season. The financial terms of the deal were not reported.
Harbaugh, 62, has been at the helm of the Ravens since the 2008 season, winning Super Bowl XLVII with the team in 2012.
His 17 years with the Ravens are the most in team history, with Super Bowl XXXV champion Brian Billick second with nine. Harbaugh is only the third head coach in team history.
Over 276 career regular-season games with the Ravens, Harbaugh has a 172-104 record, good for a 62.3 winning percentage — the best in franchise history. He also has a 13-11 post-season record.
His tenure with the Ravens is only surpassed by Mike Tomlin's 18 years with the Pittsburgh Steelers among active head coaches. Harbaugh is 10th all-time in years spent with one franchise.
