San Francisco 49ers star receiver Deebo Samuel has requested a trade, ESPN's Jeff Darlington reports.
The 2021 Pro Bowler is in the final year of his rookie contract and The Athletic has reported he is not expected to participate in voluntary team workouts this week.
Samuel is a dual threat, catching 77 passes for 1,405 yards and six touchdowns last season, while also rushing for 365 yards and eight touchdowns.
The 49ers picked Samuel in the second round (36th overall) out of South Carolina in the 2019 NFL Draft.
