The Los Angeles Chargers reportedly will be missing one of their more effective offensive weapons for at least one game.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday's that running back J.K. Dobbins will be sidelined for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons with a knee sprain. It is unclear how much additional time Dobbins will miss, Rapoport said.
Dobbins suffered the injury in the first half of Monday's loss against his old team, the Baltimore Ravens. The Chargers struggled to move the ball after Dobbins' exit.
Dobbins dealt with injuries throughout his tenure with the Ravens, who made him a second-round pick in 2020.
Dobbins was off to a good start this year, rushing for 766 yards (12th in the league) and scoring eight touchdowns for a 7-4 Chargers team.
Veteran Gus Edwards is Dobbins' backup.
