Indianapolis Colts running back Nyheim Hines has been ruled for the remainder of the team's Thursday Night game against the Denver Broncos due to the NFL's concussion protocol, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Hines sustained a hit to his backside early in the first quarter. The fifth-year pro was visibly unbalanced after getting up from the collision.

The Colts are already without starting running back Jonathan Taylor due to an ankle injury suffered in Week 4 against the Tennessee Titans.

The injury comes a week after Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was taken to hospital after sustaining a head injury against the Cincinnati Bengals.
