The Miami Dolphins could be without one of their top offensive weapons for the remainder of the regular season as Jaylen Waddle suffered a high-ankle sprain in Sunday's win over the Dallas Cowboys, according to head coach Mike McDaniel.
McDaniel told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport that Waddle was diagnosed with the injury, and added that high-ankle sprains "can be tricky."
With just two weeks remaining in the regular season, Waddle's availability for the final two games is now in question.
With the win Sunday, the Dolphins improved to 11-4 and sit atop the AFC East. Miami is currently the No. 2 seed in the AFC and is still in contention to end up the No. 1 overall seed in the conference.
Waddle had just one catch for 50 yards in the win over the Cowboys. He has 72 receptions for 1014 yards and 4 touchdowns this season.
