Report: Dolphins’ Waddle, Mostert not expected to play vs. Bills

The Miami Dolphins are expected to be without two of their best offensive weapons for Sunday’s huge showdown with the Buffalo Bills.

According to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, both wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (ankle) and running back Raheem Mostert (knee/ankle) are not expected to play against the Bills on Sunday night.

Both Waddle and Mostert also missed Week 16’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Waddle is second on the team in receiving yards (1014), while Mostert has 21 total touchdowns this year and leads the NFL with 18 rushing scores.

The Dolphins have already clinched a playoff spot, but Sunday’s result is still huge as the winner will take home the AFC East crown and host a playoff game on wild-card weekend.

On the other hand, Buffalo has everything to play for as they have still not clinched a playoff spot and a loss could mean the end of their season. If the Bills lose to the Dolphins and the Jacksonville Jaguars win, the Bills season will come to an end.
