The Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly trading former Super Bowl champion quarterback Joe Flacco to the New York Jets, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
The return on the deal is believed to be the Jets’ 2022 conditional sixth-round pick, which could possibly be their latest fifth-rounder depending on Flacco’s playing time, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The Jets were looking for a quarterback after their starter, Zach Wilson, injured his PCL on Sunday against the New England Patriots, forcing him to be out for two to four weeks.
This wouldn’t be the first stint with the Jets for Flacco. In 2020, Flacco started four games, throwing 864 yards and six touchdowns.
Flacco hasn’t played a single game in 2021.
