The Detroit Lions are keeping their top pass-rusher in the fold, signing defensive end Romeo Okwara to a three-year pact.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Okwara's new deal is worth $39 million.
The Lions have been one of the busiest teams already this off-season, with new general manager Brad Holmes and head coach Dan Campbell putting their stamp on the rebuilding team as it embarks upon yet another organizational overhaul. Gone is franchise quarterback Matthew Stafford (via trade with Rams), with top receiver Kenny Golladay looking like he's on the move, too, after the team opted not to use the franchise tag on him.
Okwara led the Lions in sacks in 2020, with 10.
