The slumping New Orleans Saints took another hit on Monday.
Taysom Hill, the Saints' do-it-all star, will miss the rest of the season with the knee injury he sustained against the Rams, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported.
Hill, 34, has 465 all-purpose yards and six touchdowns while also completing two of four attempts and throwing one interception as a passer.
The jack-of-all-trades has seen snaps as a pass-catching tight end, a rusher out of the backfield on handoffs and in wildcat formations and as an occasional quarterback. During Hill’s eight-year career, he has 33 rushing touchdowns, 11 receiving scores and 11 touchdown passes.
After a hot start, the Saints have cooled off significantly, going 2-6 over their past eight games. Losing Hill’s versatility may limit New Orleans’ ability to be creative on offence.
