Packers fans were able to let out a collective exhale after receiving good news Monday.
Green Bay QB Jordan Love is considered day-to-day after suffering a strained groin injury in Sunday's win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
According to Pelissero, Love has a chance to suit up for a Week 9 outing against the division rival Detroit Lions on Sunday.
Love exited against the Jaguars in the third quarter after dropping to the ground on a throw to running back Josh Jacobs. He seemed to tweak his groin on the opening drive of the game and went into the team's medical tent, but managed to return and play for most of the outing.
He completed 14 of 22 passes for 196 yards and an interception on Sunday before being taken out and replaced by Malik Willis.
After the game, head coach Matt LaFleur told reporters that Love was set to undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of the injury.
"Obviously, we have a high level of concern," LaFleur said of his quarterback's condition. "I think everybody could see him struggling to move around. It got to a point where we didn't feel like, and he didn't feel like, he could protect himself."
The 25-year-old suffered an MCL sprain earlier in the season, causing him to miss two games. He has thrown for 1,547 yards this year with 15 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
