The NFL has fined Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers $14,650 and the team will be docked $300,000 for breaking the league’s COVID-19 rules.
#Packers QB Aaron Rodgers and WR Allen Lazard we’re fined $14,650 each for attending a massless Halloween party. The party wasn’t sanctioned by the team but the league determined the club should have penalized both players. https://t.co/jdF7ns7zXh

Packers receiver Allen Lazard also will be fined $14,650.
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo says the player fines are for Rodgers and Lazard attending a maskless Halloween party.
Rodgers, who tested positive for COVID-19 last week, said earlier Tuesday on the “The Pat McAfee Show” on YouTube and SiriusXM that he stands behind the comments he made last week about why he didn’t get vaccinated, but acknowledges misleading some people about his status.
When he was asked about his vaccination status in an Aug. 26 news conference, Rodgers replied by saying, “Yeah, I’m immunized.”
Rodgers, in an appearance on the same McAfee show last week, said he had followed all NFL COVID rules except one — not wearing a mask during press conferences. He said that rule did not make sense to him.
Rodgers’ current contract has an average annual value of $33.5 million.
Lazard also was placed on the NFL’s COVID list earlier this year.
The quarterback is eligible to return to the team on Saturday, one day ahead of Green Bay’s game against Seattle.
