The Green Bay Packers have traded edge rusher Preston Smith to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Tuesday, the team announced.
The Steelers are sending a 2025 seventh-round pick to Green Bay in the deal.
The trade comes in the wake of the Steelers acquiring wide receiver Mike Williams from the New York Jets earlier on Tuesday.
Smith joins a defence that currently ranks second in the league in points allowed per game but are tied for 22nd in total sacks.
The 10-year pro has recorded 2.5 sacks and 19 total tackles in nine games during the 2025 season.
