Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams is expected to miss multiple games with a sprained ankle, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported Wednesday.
Williams suffered the injury in Sunday's win over the Arizona Cardinals, a game in which he rushed for 158 yards and a touchdown.
Fowler says Williams is expected to be back, at the latest, after the team's Week 10 bye — meaning he could miss up to three games.
Williams is fourth in the league with 456 rushing yards this season. He also has six rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown (along with 105 receiving yards).
The Rams selected the Notre Dame product in the fifth round (164th overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft.
The Rams (3-3) host the Pittsburgh Steelers (3-2) on Sunday.
BUFFALO BILLS
Buffalo Bills fans can breathe a sigh of relief, as star quarterback Josh Allen said his shoulder injury isn't a concern and he will be good to go in Week 7.
"No concern," Allen told reporters. "We'll be ready to go."
Allen and the Bills head to New England to take on the 1-5 Patriots on Sunday.
CLEVELAND BROWNS
Browns starting quarterback Deshaun Watson confirmed to reporters on Wednesday that he is dealing with a strained rotator cuff and is unsure if he will play against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
"It could be any day. It could be tomorrow, it could be Sunday, it could be two weeks for now," Watson said of his timeline. "Day to day. When it heals, it heals."
ARIZONA CARDINALS
The Cardinals opened a 21-day practice window for quarterback Kyler Murray, the team announced Wednesday.
Murray suffered a torn ACL late last year.
Joshua Dobbs has started in Murray's absence. The Cardinals are 1-5.
CHICAGO BEARS
Bears quarterback Justin Fields (thumb) remains doubtful for a game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, the team announced Wednesday.
Fields was hurt last week in a loss against the Minnesota Vikings.
Undrafted rookie Tyson Bagent replaced Fields and is in line to start versus Vegas if Fields can't go.
NEW YORK GIANTS
Giants quarterback Daniel Jones (neck) practised Wednesday, but hasn't been cleared for contact, coach Brian Daboll told reporters.
Jones missed Sunday's 14-9 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Tyrod Taylor, a former Bill, started in Jones' place and had the Giants one yard away from what would have been a winning touchdown on the final play of the game.
The Giants host the Washington Commanders on Sunday.
