The Los Angeles Rams will go with John Wolford as the starting quarterback for Saturday’s NFC wild-card matchup against the Seattle Seahawks despite Jared Goff being active, according to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports.
Goff is coming off surgery on his right thumb, which he injured in Week 16 against the Seahawks. Goff was able to practice this week, but Rams coach Sean McVay decided to go with Wolford while third-string quarterback Blake Bortles was ruled inactive.
Goff finished 10th in the NFL with 3,952 yards passing and 20 touchdowns and 13 interceptions, but struggled in the final stretch of the season before suffering the injury.
