The Baltimore Ravens could be down to the third-stringer for the rest of the season.
Quarterback Tyler Huntley will miss the rest of the campaign with a turf toe injury, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Wednesday.
Huntley was injured Sunday against the Buffalo Bills not long after Lamar Jackson hurt his thumb on his first pass attempt of the game, sending him to the injured reserve with a potentially season-ending injury, too.
Undrafted rookie quarterback Joe Fagnano finished the game, a 36-10 loss, and will start Thursday night against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Ravens also signed QB Kedon Slovis from the Green Bay Packers practice squad on Tuesday.
Huntley has long served as Jackson's backup, including in three games earlier this season that the starter missed due to an ankle sprain.
The 28-year-old went 1-2 in those appearances. On the season, he had 727 passing yards, four touchdowns and one interception to go with 76 rushing yards and another score.
Baltimore sits last in the AFC North at 4-4.
