Report: Saints' Thomas, Falcons' London expected to play in season opener

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas and Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London are each expected to play in Sunday's season opener after sustaining injuries, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Both players had previously been listed as questionable.

Thomas, 29, has been sidelined with a hamstring injury through the pre-season after having missed the 2021 season with a high-ankle sprain. Since going 47th overall by the Saints in 2016, Thomas has earned three Pro-Bowl appearances and the title of NFL Offensive Player of the Year in 2019.

London, 21, has been sidelined for nearly a month after suffering a knee injury during the first pre-season game. He was taken eighth overall by the Falcons in the 2022 NFL Draft.

The Falcons and the Saints are set to open their season against one another on Sunday, September 11.
