Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett will miss multiple weeks with an ankle injury, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, opening the door for Mitch Trubisky to start as the team pushes for a spot in the AFC playoffs.
Pickett was injured in the second quarter of Sunday's loss to the Cardinals after he was tackled by Jonathan Ledbetter.
Pickett was 7 of 10 for 70 yards before leaving with his injury.
The Steelers have a short week and will host the Patriots on Thursday. Pittsburgh at 7-5 is fifth in the AFC standings but tied with the Browns, Colts and Texans.
